Take Rensselaer to work and participate in graduate programs designed for mission-critical employees and the companies that depend on them. 

Using Rensselaer’s digital classroom – the RensselaerStudio - complete projects that are applicable to your work, perfecting your professional abilities while simultaneously providing value to your employer. With a personalized approach, Rensselaer instructor/mentors provide industry expertise, advice, and encouragement. Take one course at a time, enroll in a graduate certificate of your choice, or stack multiple certificates into a customized master’s degree.

As an employee within the EdAssist by Bright Horizons® network, Rensselaer offers:

  • A 10% tuition discount for Rensselaer at Work Programs
  • A $75 application fee waiver for attending an Informational Webinar
  • An Employee Deferred Tuition (EDT) program for graduate students in Rensselaer at Work programs who receive tuition reimbursement benefits at the end of the semester
  • A 20% discount is available to employees of companies with 20 or more participants attending a Rensselaer at Work program. For more details, please contact Bonnie Blumer at sofarb@rpi.edu.

Rensselaer at Work Programs

MBA for Professionals

  • 9 courses / 45 credit hours to complete the degree
  • Complete six core courses and then choose a qualifying graduate certificate to add to your credentials and complete the program
  • Professionals from all academic backgrounds welcome

Master of Science in Engineering Science

  • Choose 3 qualifying certificates and complete an Integrative Project to fulfill the degree requirements
  • Apply and enroll in your first certificate; you can opt in or out of the degree at any time before beginning the Integrative Project

Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering and Technology Management

  • 10 courses / 30 credit hours to complete the degree
  • Complete four core courses and then choose two qualifying graduate certificates to add to your credentials and complete the degree
  • Previous engineering degree not required

Master of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering

  • 10 courses / 30 credit hours to complete the degree
  • Using Agile project management methodologies - you plan, implement, and execute projects driving mechanical structures with greater acumen
  • Previous engineering degree or equivalent required

Graduate Certificates

  • Each certificate is three courses, nine credit hours
  • Begin the certificate of your choice in January, May, or August
  • Certificates can count towards the completion of a Master of Business Administration (MBA), a Master of Science in Engineering Science, or a Master of Engineering in Systems Engineering and Technology Management
