Since our founding in 1955, Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's Hartford, CT location has conferred graduate degrees upon some of the finest working professionals in the world, which is proven by the stunning quality and diversity of Rensselaer at Work employers.

In keeping with our origins as Raytheon Technologies’ very first learning partner, our alumni can be found throughout organizations such as Pratt & Whitney, Raytheon Intelligence & Space, Carrier Corporation, Collins Aerospace, Otis Elevator Co., and Raytheon Missiles & Defense.

Of course, Raytheon Technologies is not the only aerospace company where Rensselaer at Work alumni are active. Of those that LinkedIn identifies as working in the aerospace industry, Boeing, GE Aviation, MD Helicopters, GKN Aerospace, Barnes Aerospace, Telephonics, Sikorsky, The Barden Corporation, Horst Engineering, Willis Lease Finance, Esterline Technologies, Whitcraft Group, and ATI Forged Products are all represented.

In an obviously related field with lots of cross-over to aerospace, others in military and defense work at companies like Lockheed Martin, Northrop Grumman, General Dynamics,  L3 Harris Technologies, Leonardo DRS, Sonalysts, BAE Systems, N2 Imaging, Sig Sauer, Honeywell, Inrad Optics, General Dynamics Electric Boat, Draper, Dassault, and even the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (without a LinkedIn page for obvious reasons).

Given the technical mastery for which RPI is historically renowned, it's not surprising that our Alumni work for some of most accomplished companies in tech, including IBM, Oracle, Microsoft, SAS, Red Hat, Dell, Broadcom, Adobe, Google, Salesforce, Apple, Hewlett Packard, and Tetra Tech.

With decades of graduates from Rensselaer at Work, it's no wonder our Alumni can be found in the insurance and financial services industries, with representation at Anthem, Aetna, MassMutual, Cigna, ING, Travelers Insurance, Bank of America, Chubb, Liberty Mutual, Fidelity Investments, Lincoln Financial Group, Merrill Lynch, and, naturally, The Hartford.
