MBA for Professionals Video Introduction

Take a project-based approach to advance your leadership abilities through graduate study. Customize your experience through courses with workplace application and the completion of a qualifying graduate certificate.

This 3-minute video introduces you to the MBA for Professionals.

Rensselaer prides itself in being the first to achieve many things.

From being the nation’s first technological research university, to possessing the world’s first university-based quantum computer - RPI stakes its name in innovation.

No doubt, an RPI MBA program – specifically designed around the needs of working professionals - would be innovative as well.

It was created for you to develop the leadership abilities needed to take on enterprise-scale challenges in as close to real-time as possible.

When you finish the program, you’ll be able to:

Make decisions from an executive standpoint for the organization you lead - given the dynamic market, the financial implications, and the capabilities of the organization.

Use cutting-edge analytics tools to inform your decisions – to make sure your organization is a leader in the market, not a follower.

Determine where the  organization needs to go; envision how it needs to evolve to get there, and then execute accordingly.

And lead and inspire those in your organization to be a part of the team and to take on the challenges of the future.

This is what the Rensselaer MBA is all about - helping you to build each of these abilities through doing. The 36-credit hour program takes about 2 years to complete and allows you the space you need to live your full personal and professional lives.

It uses a project-based approach to develop mastery – you'll be learning new techniques and methods and applying them to solve real-world problems. You’ll even use your employer for context wherever possible, addressing real challenges given your organization’s market realities.

We believe that being able to USE what you are learning in meaningful ways is just as important as the content of what you learn. These projects give you the chance to show your mastery through application.

Each course is facilitated by a Faculty Mentor – an expert practitioner with years of experience that personally guides you through your projects.

You submit your projects as many times as you need to demonstrate your mastery, incorporating specific and individual feedback from your Faculty Mentor along the way. You’re both on a journey not for an A, but for creating valuable and applicable work.

Outside of class, when you need help, you contact them directly to meet personally and gain insights.

You and your expert mentor work together on whatever timeline fits for you.

Since the program is digitally delivered you can participate anytime, anywhere, and still be fully engaged.

Learning by doing; making mistakes and learning from them without impacting your grade; flexibly building your knowledge of business and leadership in the context of your own work– these are the promises of a Rensselaer at Work MBA.
