The Lally School of Management and Technology is pleased to announce that the latest Rensselaer Executive MBA (EMBA) cohort began classes at the Hartford campus on February 25. This dynamic group of students represents three states and includes two Rensselaer alumni. Two of the EMBA candidates already have international experience and one student holds three patents. The diverse backgrounds of the cohort members are impressive:

  • Veterinarian and Owner
  • Program Manager of Research, Development, and Engineering
  • Manager of Emerging Technology, Research, Development, and Engineering
  • Associate of Global Structured Products Sales
  • A Registered Dietician
  • Director of Safety/Industrial Hygiene and Training
  • Manager of Black Ring Production
  • Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer and Registered Nurse
  • Brigade Logistics Officer with the United States Army

This EMBA cohort will complete a weeklong international residency in Singapore as an essential part of the EMBA experience, providing an in-depth immersion into the world of international business. Another critical component is the Impact Project, a yearlong endeavor designed to enable students to stretch their intellect and capabilities, and to begin to utilize the skills and tools they have gained in their EMBA experience. The project allows the EMBA class to choose a problem or issue of great importance in today’s society and spend an academic year identifying and researching various aspects of the topic, culminating in the development of solutions that will make an impact.
