Rensselaer's Accelerated Cohort M.B.A. to be Offered for the First Time in Southwestern Connecticut at Trumbull Site

HARTFORD, CONN Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's highly acclaimed cohort M.B.A. program will be available to students and corporations in Southwestern Connecticut with its inaugural class beginning in May 2008 in Trumbull. Potential M.B.A. candidates will have the opportunity to complete the program in its entirety in approximately 30 months at a convenient location with classes held Monday evenings and alternating Saturdays. Renowned faculty from Rensselaer's Lally School of Management and Technology have been selected to teach in this program. A new M.B.A. group is forming with admission granted on a first-come, first-accommodated basis. An online application is available at: www.rpi.edu/ewp/hartford.

A free Information Session about the program will be held Tuesday, March 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at The Hilton Garden Inn in Shelton, to review the curriculum, discuss program logistics, and answer questions. Rensselaer's Lally School of Management and Technology is an accredited member of AACSB International, The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International. The cohort program will blend fundamental courses in business with Rensselaer's core strengths in operations, entrepreneurship, and innovation. The Rensselaer M.B.A. is an integrated learning experience that provides participants with immediate and applicable knowledge to lead in an ever-changing global environment. Case studies and real-world examples are used by the Rensselaer faculty to challenge students to consider the impact of management decisions and actions.

Peers in this accelerated program are highly-motivated with diverse experience. The cohort format allows participants to develop relationships that extend beyond the classroom, providing ongoing opportunities for networking, support, and personal friendships.
